(b) Jesus - Affirmer of the Brethren (4:1-5):

  NKJV KJV NIV ASV

Satan is the accuser of the brethren, Jesus is our AFFIRMER!

“Now wedded and united with he love, the maiden’s bridegroom exclaims,’How beautiful you are, my darling. How beautiful you are.’ Then he speaks specific prophetic affirmations, wooing his bride to come forth.

In the same way, Jesus, our glorious Bridegroom, speaks prophetically over us as we timidly arise and take baby steps forward, purposing to leave the comfort zone and progress into more maturity. He does not condemn us for our immaturity or accuse us of our failures. Instead, He calls things that are not as though they were, because He sees those things in seed form in our hearts ( Rom 4:17)......He says,’I love you! I have passionate affections for you! I will transform a fervent, immature maiden into My reigning, mature bride.’” Mike Bickle,”Passion for Jesus”,p114

Let’s look at the prophetic words Jesus speaks over us, His Bride.... (actually, literally this scene is of the wedding night, after the procession, where the bride is still wearing the  veil Gen 29:23-25, Leah wore bridal veil)

The following chart shows the parts of the body described and can represent different parts of the body of Christ (His Bride) with the different emphases people will have in their ministries. It can also represent different qualities that need to be found in a believer moving into the 'covenant' phase of their relationship with Christ.

Notice the 'double function' interpretation - by taking the function (Jewish thought) of the body part ,and also the thing that it is likened to , a clear interpretation can be derived. Some images can be interpreted based on their general meaning in Scripture and/or the root Hebrew meanings.

You can view the  SPICE CHART again to view the interpretation of ' Pomegranates'.

Look also at the further descriptions of the words used by clicking on the words below..

v 1 Dove eyes veil hair flock goat Gilead
v 2 Teeth flock, sheep
v 3 Lips strand scarlet mouth temples veil pomegranate
v 4 Neck tower David armoury buckler
v 5 Breasts gazelle lily

Look at the chart and ask yourself if these qualities are found in your life. Pray for the Lord to develop those qualities that are weak. Also ask yourself which part of the body you feel your main ministry can be represented by.
