The Song of Solomon  is a prophetic love song that speaks not only of a married couple's pure love but also of Christ's relationship with His people , the Church and God's covenant love with Israel. Tim Gibson has been gleaning powerful revelations from this wonderful song and has put them together in the form of a useful computer software package.

The Progress of Love is a Windows Help File program that is an in depth study on the entire book of the Song of Solomon. It is a devotional study that will challenge the reader to a much more intimate relationship with Jesus and open their eyes to His plan for them. Hudson Taylor's 'Union in Communion' (the famous missionary's study on the Song of Songs) is included in this study as well as a comprehensive guide to most of the words used in the song (Hebrew meanings,  more details on the animals & plants etc) and four translations of this spirit-inspired poem.

Five stages of love that are shown in the Song will be looked at in detail, highlighting the main elements that should be present in our love relationship with Him in each stage. Tim has developed a self-assessment in the form of a 'Wall of Faith' graph that shows how we measure up in our love relationship with Jesus.

Below are example images of the software.....

Clicking on the 'Stage Five: Perfecting Love' box will bring up this window......

'Hudson T' (which takes you to Hudson Taylor's Union and Communion insidethe Helpfile) and 'Wesley Notes' which brings up your browser to show John Wesley's notes on the Song of Solomon. Inside the materail are many more lonks to online resources teaching on Song of Solomon (multimedia also). The above screenshot is form the graphics intensive download.

The words with green dotted lines under them can be clicked on for popup diagrams and charts (the View of Jesus etc.. popup charts are overview charts of the whole song and can be used for reference all the way through), verses or further details. The main contents list can be accessed by clicking on the 'Contents' button and the word studies can be easily entered by clicking on the 'Glossary of Words' button. The 'Back' button is handy in retracing the previous pages and the teaching on display can be printed at a simple click (of the 'Print' button). The 'Search' button leads to a folder where you can create a powerful word search which will enter every word in the teaching into a searchable database. This is useful!
The material is simple to follow - from the contents page one simply follows the Course outline and clicks on the links as prompted to do so.
