Remember when you were a kid and you had gotten yourself all muddy?
Remember using your muddy hands to try to wipe the dirt and mess from
your clothing? Remember how you watched in horror as you only smeared
the mess and made your clothing more dirty? You were trying so hard to
clean up before your mom or dad saw the mess, but you only made it worse.
As the communion music washed over me with the beautiful words and melody to "White As Snow" all I could think of was my muddy hands trying to clean up my life only to make it a bigger mess. I immediately began to praise my Lord for having cleansed me. He is the only one who can make me clean. He is the only one who can take the mess of my life and create a message of hope and salvation from it. He is the only one who can cleanse (un-sin-me) and wash me "whiter than snow" (Ps 51:7)
All I could do was worship and praise Him for His incredible Mercy and Love!
