DEFINITION OF CALLING

The Biblical use of 'calling' refers to an INVITATION. It is an urging on,

An inciting by words. It comes as an encouragement to do something and is a term particularly found in the New Testament.

One's call is the invitation of Christ to enter fully into His vision! This is all purely by grace, and grace enables us to accomplish our call (Eph 2:8-10; 2 Thess 1:11-12). This invitation will be specific (as to the area of calling/gifting).

 (2) Klesis (Noun,Strongs 2821) - A heavenly calling/invitation (Rom 11:29)
