(1) Goals are meant to move us in the direction God wants us to go. They are not ends in themselves.
(2) The goal is a description of a desired future condition you want to achieve and needs to be stated in specific, concrete terms in such a way that can somehow be measured - numbers, time-line, percentages, certain conditions etc..
(3) These must be faith-goals (from revelation) and there must be reality in them (must not be just a mathematical statement).
By preparing a worksheet for the goal, you will not only have suceeded in building a degree of measurability, but will also have prayerfully determined implementation procedures for carrying out that goal.
